Dr. Peter Ruben, PhD, is a Professor in the Department of Biomedical Physiology & Kinesiology at Simon Fraser University. As a biophysicist, he studies ion channel roles in pathogenic states, with a focus on inflammation and channelopathies, including the in vitro mechanisms and therapeutic potential of cannabinoids to mitigate inflammatory pathogenesis, cardiac arrhythmias, and neuronal and skeletal muscle disorders.
